The Challenge

This client needed a district-wide security solution that could ensure the safety of students and staff—without creating an environment that felt restrictive or institutional. With 24 schools across grades K–12, they also required flexible coverage for sporting events, after-hours programs, and community gatherings.

Our Approach

Tri-Shield began with a full security assessment to help the district meet New Jersey compliance standards. We worked closely with school leadership to develop a protection plan that balanced visibility with approachability. Working with the school, we implemented a proactive, presence-based approach with strategically placed, highly trained officers.

Staffing & Coverage

We now staff over 40 officers across the district’s 24 elementary, middle and high schools, providing consistent weekday coverage from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Our team is also deployed for:

Friday night football games
School dances and assemblies
Parent-teacher conferences
Emergency drills and early dismissals

Grant Support

Each year, Tri-Shield assists the district in preparing and submitting security grant applications and renewals. These grants have contributed to improved technology, updated access control systems, and additional safety training for staff.
