Jim Vardanega brings 25 years of dedicated service with the Lawrence Township Police Department to his role as Senior Security Advisor at Tri-Shield Security & Protection Services. Throughout his distinguished career, Jim served in a variety of critical roles, including the Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Unit, and as a certified Crisis and Hostage Negotiator.

He was also assigned to regional task forces, including the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Trenton Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit—gaining extensive experience in high-stakes, collaborative investigations.

Jim holds the distinction of being the most highly decorated officer in the history of the Lawrence Township Police Department. His accolades include multiple Letters of Commendation, the American Legion Officer of the Year award, Meritorious Service honors, Life Saving Awards, and Commendable Service recognitions.

Jim’s steady leadership, tactical experience, and lifelong commitment to community safety make him a vital asset to the Tri-Shield team.
